South Florida is two counties, three airports and two of the busiest cruise ports in the world on one stretch of I-95. A Brickell executive heading to MIA, a cruise group leaving Port Everglades and a hotel guest at FLL who just landed from Europe can all land on the same board before breakfast. Grasp Solutions provides outsourced dispatch and call answering for Miami-Dade and Broward limousine, black car, sedan and shuttle operators, staffed by trained people around the clock and working inside the booking system you already run.

We will be plain about where we are. Our operations center is in Lahore, Pakistan, and our dispatchers work Eastern time hours alongside your fleet. That is what makes real overnight cover possible: the person on your board at 4am Miami time, when the first cruise returns and European arrivals are being confirmed, is starting a shift, not finishing a double.

What makes dispatch in South Florida different

  • Two counties, two sets of paperwork – Miami-Dade and Broward each license limousines and chauffeurs, so a regional fleet runs on more than one set of permits.
  • Cruise mornings come all at once – PortMiami and Port Everglades send thousands of passengers ashore in a few hours, and every one of them wants a car now.
  • International arrivals – long-haul flights land late and early, and passengers need clear instructions before they clear customs.
  • Event weeks fill every car – Art Basel, boat shows, music festivals and big games compress a month of bookings into a few days.
  • Storm season moves the whole board – a tropical system or an afternoon storm reshuffles flights, sailings and pickups at once.

What our dispatchers handle

  • Live booking calls – answered in your company name and entered straight into your dispatch platform with pickup, drop, passenger count, luggage and flight or ship details.
  • Airport and flight watching – MIA, FLL and PBI arrivals tracked, pickups moved when flights move, and the passenger told where to meet the driver.
  • Driver support – reassignments, no shows, vehicle problems and the call from a driver who cannot find a passenger at a terminal, a hotel or a cruise terminal.
  • Hotel, corporate and concierge accounts – standing bookings handled to each account’s rules, including who may book and how the guest is confirmed.
  • Cruise and event blocks – grouped transfers for sailings, shows and festivals entered and confirmed as a set.

People, not AI

Every call is answered by a person. A cruise passenger standing on the dock with four suitcases, or a hotel concierge changing a booking for a VIP guest, wants someone who can think, not a menu. Our dispatchers learn your service area, your vehicle classes, your regular accounts and the terminal doors, hotel entrances and cruise terminals your drivers actually use. For where AI answering helps and where it breaks on a dispatch line, see our guide to AI phone answering systems vs human dispatchers.

Coverage

Cover runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including holiday weekends, event weeks and the cruise mornings when in-house cover is hardest to hold. Choose the full clock, overnight only, weekends only, cruise mornings only, or overflow behind your own dispatchers at peak hours. Special rates apply to overnight, weekend and holiday only cover.

No migration, no morning data entry

We work in your systems. Our dispatchers are used to Limo Anywhere, Moovs, TaxiCaller, iCabbi and other operator-owned platforms, plus hosted phone queues and shared inboxes. Bookings taken overnight are already in your platform when your day dispatcher logs in.

What you are not signing up for

  • No long term contract. Month to month, and you stop when it stops being useful.
  • No platform switch. We use the dispatch software and phone system you already have.
  • No minimum seat count. Cover one shift, one cruise season or the whole year.
  • Special rates for overnight, weekend and holiday only cover.

The South Florida rules your dispatch desk runs into

In Miami-Dade, limousines are regulated under Chapter 31 of the County Code through the Department of Transportation and Public Works. Each limousine needs its own license, vehicles need inspection and operating permit decals before they start work, and every driver needs a chauffeur registration. Limousines are not metered and must be pre-arranged. The County has also issued temporary limousine licenses for Art Basel week.

In Broward, a for-hire operator needs a Chapter 22½ permit and each driver a chauffeur’s registration from the County’s Consumer Protection Division. At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International, vehicles carry an airport AVI decal, drivers wait for passengers in the designated for-hire meeting areas in baggage claim with one sign no larger than 12 by 12 inches, and pickups happen at the ground transportation areas on the lower level, never the upper level. Drivers must carry a trip sheet with the passenger’s name and flight details, and soliciting rides is banned.

PortMiami runs its own permit under its port tariff. Every vehicle working the port must be registered and carry a transponder, vehicles stage in the ground transportation lot until called forward, they may not circle the port while waiting, and solicitation within 1,000 feet of a cruise terminal is prohibited.

For a dispatch desk this is practical. Before a car is sent to the airport or the cruise port, whoever is dispatching needs to know which county license it runs under, that it is permitted for that facility and where the passenger has been told to stand. We keep that on the board, so an overnight dispatcher is not guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Miami?

No. Our operations center is in Lahore, Pakistan, and our dispatchers work Eastern time for South Florida fleets. The booking platform and phone queue are online, so nothing about the service depends on being in Florida.

Can you handle cruise mornings?

Yes. Ship arrival times, terminal numbers and passenger counts are entered as a block the day before, and the morning desk works the returns as ships clear.

Can you cover both Miami-Dade and Broward fleets?

Yes. Bookings for both counties run on the same board, with each vehicle’s licenses and airport or port permits written into your desk guide during onboarding.

How quickly can cover start?

Once we have access to your dispatch platform and a written escalation list, cover is usually live within days.

Dispatch cover in other US cities

If you run vehicles beyond South Florida, we keep the same desks and the same people on dispatch in New York, Long Island, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Houston, Washington DC, Dallas, Boston and Atlanta. Fleets that only need the quiet hours covered usually start with after-hours answering or overflow call handling instead of a full desk.
