Jacksonville is the biggest city in the lower 48 by land area, and its car services feel every mile of it. A 5am run from Ponte Vedra to JAX, a cruise group heading to the port and a patient pickup for a morning appointment across the river can all land on the same board, with the bridges deciding how long each one takes. Grasp Solutions provides outsourced dispatch and call answering for Jacksonville, the Beaches, St. Augustine and Amelia Island limousine, black car, sedan and shuttle operators, staffed by trained people around the clock and working inside the booking system you already run.

We will be plain about where we are. Our operations center is in Lahore, Pakistan, and our dispatchers work Eastern time hours alongside your fleet. That is what makes real overnight cover possible: the person on your board at 3am Jacksonville time is starting a shift, not finishing a double.

What makes dispatch in Jacksonville different

  • Long distances on every trip – the Beaches, Orange Park, St. Augustine and Amelia Island are all a long drive from the airport, so one late flight can push back the rest of the night.
  • The river sets the route – a slowdown on the Dames Point, Fuller Warren or Buckman bridge changes every ETA on the board.
  • Cruise mornings come all at once – sailings from the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal send a block of transfers out together and bring them back on the same morning days later.
  • Medical and military trips – hospital appointments and base travel need exact pickup times and patient, careful callers on the phone.
  • Game days and golf weeks – football weekends and the big golf tournament at Ponte Vedra put a month of bookings into a few days.

What our dispatchers handle

  • Live booking calls – answered in your company name and entered straight into your dispatch platform with pickup, drop, passenger count, luggage and flight number.
  • Airport and flight watching – JAX arrivals tracked, pickups moved when flights move, and the passenger told where to meet the driver before they land.
  • Driver support – reassignments, no shows, vehicle problems and the call from a driver who cannot find a passenger at a terminal, a hotel or the cruise terminal.
  • Corporate, hotel and medical accounts – standing bookings handled to each account’s rules, including who may book and how the trip is confirmed.
  • Cruise and event blocks – grouped transfers for sailings, games, weddings and golf weeks entered and confirmed as a set.

People, not AI

Every call is answered by a person. A patient’s family member booking a ride home from a hospital, or a traveler whose flight landed two hours late, wants someone who can think, not a menu. Our dispatchers learn your service area, your vehicle classes, your regular accounts and the terminal doors, hotel entrances and hospital drop points your drivers actually use. For where AI answering helps and where it breaks on a dispatch line, see our guide to AI phone answering systems vs human dispatchers.

Coverage

Cover runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including holiday weekends, game days and the nights when in-house cover is hardest to hold. Choose the full clock, overnight only, weekends only, cruise days only, or overflow behind your own dispatchers at peak hours. Special rates apply to overnight, weekend and holiday only cover.

No migration, no morning data entry

We work in your systems. Our dispatchers are used to Limo Anywhere, Moovs, TaxiCaller, iCabbi and other operator-owned platforms, plus hosted phone queues and shared inboxes. Bookings taken overnight are already in your platform when your day dispatcher logs in.

What you are not signing up for

  • No long term contract. Month to month, and you stop when it stops being useful.
  • No platform switch. We use the dispatch software and phone system you already have.
  • No minimum seat count. Cover one shift, one cruise season or the whole year.
  • Special rates for overnight, weekend and holiday only cover.

The Jacksonville rules your dispatch desk runs into

At Jacksonville International, the Jacksonville Aviation Authority’s Commercial Ground Transportation Policy requires an annual permit for operators picking up passengers, unless they hold a concession agreement. Permits run from October 1 to September 30, the permit decal goes on the driver’s side of the windshield, and each vehicle carries a proximity card that records its trips so the per-trip fees can be billed monthly.

Limousines at JAX are prearranged only. Prearranged providers pick up in the Ground Transportation Area, not on the public curb or in the hourly garage, and soliciting or carrying anyone whose trip was not booked before they reached the airport is prohibited. Cars wait in the Courtesy Waiting Lot on Pecan Park Road, may not stay in the ground transportation facility for more than two hours, and the curbside loading zone there is limited to ten minutes.

Meeting passengers inside has its own rules. Meet-and-greet happens in the designated area in baggage claim, and drivers may go in no earlier than 15 minutes before a domestic arrival or 5 minutes before an international one. The sign must be handheld, no larger than 10 by 12 inches, and show the passenger’s or group’s name.

At the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal, curbside drop-off is open to all vehicles, and Carnival sails from Jacksonville all year.

For a dispatch desk this is practical. Before a car is sent to JAX, whoever is dispatching needs to know the vehicle is permitted, its card is in the car, and the driver knows when to go in and where to stand. We keep that on the board, so an overnight dispatcher is not guessing.

Frequently asked questions

Do you have an office in Jacksonville?

No. Our operations center is in Lahore, Pakistan, and our dispatchers work Eastern time for Jacksonville fleets. The booking platform and phone queue are online, so nothing about the service depends on being in Florida.

Can you handle cruise mornings?

Yes. Sailing dates, passenger counts and pickup addresses are entered as a block the day before, and the morning desk works the returns as the ship clears.

Can you cover St. Augustine and Amelia Island trips too?

Yes. Long-distance trips run on the same board, with drive times and bridge routes written into your desk guide during onboarding.

How quickly can cover start?

Once we have access to your dispatch platform and a written escalation list, cover is usually live within days.

Elsewhere in Florida we run the same desks for Orlando, Tampa and Miami and Fort Lauderdale fleets, and our Florida dispatch page covers the rest of the state.

Dispatch cover in other US cities

If you run vehicles beyond Jacksonville, we keep the same desks and the same people on dispatch in New York, Long Island, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Houston, Washington DC, Dallas, Boston and Atlanta. Fleets that only need the quiet hours covered usually start with after-hours answering or overflow call handling instead of a full desk.
